![]() Where does Evolution keep my emails? (By the way, I do not care about throwing away all my mails, since I still have everything under Thunderbird). Somehow, the emails were downloaded into the Inbox of the ‘On this Computer’ local account.ĭoes anyone know how I can reset Evolution to start again with a completely new slate? For example, where are the configuration data? There is apparently, no (hidden) directory called ‘.evolution’ in my home directory. My Evolution configuration is really screwed up, it seems!Īnother thing I notice now, in retrospect: Evolution has, anyway, never displayed my standard default POP account (in the left-hand window). ‘kill -9 ’), reboot and restart Evolution, Evolution tries again to fetch emails from all (8) accounts, and can only be terminated with ‘kill -9 ’. Evolution is locked into the process of downloading emails and cannot be terminated. ![]() I suspect it happens when either Windows or the Google Drive client runs an. No matter how many times I enable the icon to show in the main system tray it will automatically toggle itself off after a few restarts. No attempt to disable the accounts (even all of them, including the ‘On this Computer’ account) achieved anything. The way to show icons in the main system tray is via the setting in: Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Other system tray icons. However, after logging out (of Gnome) and logging in again, all seven (!) Exchange accounts were displayed at last, all of them trying at the same time, apparently, to fetch my emails from the Exchange account, together with my standard (default) POP account (from another provider). Restarting Evolution did not help either. In no case did Evolution display any newly created account in the left-hand window. Actually, I went through the account set up process several times, trying different configuration options, ending each time with ‘apply’. ![]()
